Pak-Lite, Inc.

Corporate Overview

PLI (Pak-Lite) , Georgia and North Carolina, is the leading North American producer of foam components, tapes, extrusions, insulation, flooring underlayment, die cut parts, and more. Their engineered products help control the noise transmission in all terrain vehicles, aircraft, marine vessels, laminate flooring and industrial/commercial facilities. Their lamination capabilities are second to none and specialty production processes like skiving, kiss cutting, die cutting, dampening, bonding, sealing, mounting and spooling make them extremely diversified.

Company Statement on SHARP Designation

Pak-Lite's number one guiding principle is, "Safety first in all operations." After receiving the SHARP designation, the company issued the following statement: "Because we take this statement seriously, we reached out to Georgia Tech and asked for help in achieving a higher level of safety for our employees. This is a very proud moment for Pak-Lite and every one of its employees. We have all worked very hard to achieve this goal. Acceptance into the SHARP Program by OSHA is an achievement of status that will single PLI out among our business peers as a model for worksite safety and health. We as a team have made huge progress in improving our company but, as always, there is more work to do. Safety never takes a break. We must continue to follow all our safety rules, we must continue to watch out for each other, and we must continue to look for ways to constantly improve."

The statement concluded: "We are very proud of achieving SHARP Certification and would strongly recommend this program to any small business that wants to achieve a world class status."
