Experience Summary
Mark Hodges is a specialist in web-based training and science communication. He has developed and managed web sites for the South & Southwest Hazardous Substance Research Center and the OSHA 21D Consultation Program at Georgia Tech.
His professional interests include environmental communication, risk communication, public policy, multimedia effectiveness in training, workers safety and health training, and the role of the Internet in technology transfer. He managed a project resulting in a CD-ROM based curriculum on "Nutrition and Menu Management" for the Georgia Department of Education. More recently, he led a project to develop and assess a model for web-based course delivery in OSHA safety and health training under sponsorship of the Center to Protect Workers Rights. He was a course director in an OSHA-sponsored project to create a comprehensive safety and health training curriculum for disaster site workers at scenes of weapons of mass destruction attacks.
