developed good quality Spanish safety and health resources. The majority
of the publications can be downloaded from their web page free of

This web site has non-English materials in six languages: Creole, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, and Spanish. They have Tailgate/Toolbox Talks, Hazard Alerts, Worker Pocket Cards/Brochures, Spanish-English Construction Dictionary, Instructor= Manual, photos, and other resources. In addition, they have a list (with web page links) of safety and health resources in Spanish from labor organizations, universities, occupational health clinic, COSH groups/community groups (most of these organizations are located in California, New York, and Washington). Great web page!

This web site also provides many links to web sites of other agencies, organizations or groups that contained Spanish safety and health resources.

This center received an OSHA grant to develop training materials in Spanish. They developed training manuals on the following topics: ARight-to Know@, Asbestos removal, Employer and worker guide to hazardous materials in the construction industry, English-as-a-Second Language guide that uses occupational safety and health as its subject matter, Lead paint, among others. You can order them for a small fee.

UFCW has several brochures and fact sheets on the following topics: musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomic, noise, hot environments, workers rights, ammonia exposure, sodium hypochlorite exposure, and dry ice exposure. UFCW has a publication named AMeatpacking, Poultry and Food Processing: A Safety Committee Guide for the Workplace@. This guide briefly covers a variety of safety, health and biological hazards present at the meatpacking, poultry and food processing industries.

The UCLA-LOSH Spanish Resource Library has compiled Spanish language training materials about occupational health and safety for workers, trainers, as well as their employers, and health professionals. The aim of the program is to have materials at easy access to Spanish-speaking workers.
